WHAT WE DO

From ideas to action

(Project axes)

WOTO brings together young peopleyouth workers and organisations to better understand and address discrimination, particularly racism and sexism.

The project turns ideas and lived experiences into tools, creative outputs and proposals for change.

It is structured around three main areas of action:

1. Educational resources : Practical tools to help youth professionals raise awareness about racism, sexism and intersectional discrimination.

2. Artistic creation : Workshops where young people express their experiences through creative practices, leading to a transnational exhibition.

3. Recommendations for change : Proposals developed with young people and practitioners to support more inclusive youth and local policies.

Together, these actions aim to encourage dialogue, learning and positive change.

Take Action Against Discrimination

Educational Resources

All materials will be freely available for download and reuse, with credit to the project. In the meantime, you can leave your contact details to stay in the loop.

This section brings together the educational resources developed within WOTO to address racism and sexism using an intersectional approach.

The resources are designed for youth workers, educators, trainers and organisations working with young people. They aim to support awareness-raising, reflection and collective learning in safe and inclusive settings.

The educational toolkit includes:

  • Method sheets and activity formats tested in different countries
  • Tools to identify stereotypes, bias and power dynamics
  • Guidance on facilitation posture and emotional safety
  • Resources combining academic knowledge and experiential knowledge from young people.

2.

Artistic Creation for Civic Engagement

Transnational Exhibition

All materials will be freely available for download and reuse, with credit to the project. In the meantime, you can leave your contact details to stay in the loop.

Through artistic workshops organised in each partner country, young people are invited to express their experiences of discrimination, resistance and empowerment.

These creations will form a transnational exhibition, presented in both physical and digital formats.

A digital exhibition toolkit will be available for organisations wishing to print and implement the exhibition locally. It includes guidelines, visuals and educational support materials.

All materials will be freely available for download and reuse, with credit to the project.

3.

Proposals and Recommendations

All materials will be freely available for download and reuse, with credit to the project. In the meantime, you can leave your contact details to stay in the loop.

Beyond awareness and expression, WOTO aims to contribute to concrete change.

Young people, youth professionals and local actors worked together to transform lived experiences and project findings into practical proposals and recommendations for more inclusive local policies.

The recommendations address:

  • Youth and inclusion policies;
  • Educational and cultural institutions;
  • Local authorities and decision-makers.

They promote intersectional approaches, youth participation and policies grounded in real-life experiences. An easy-to-read summary and a full guide are available for download.
